INN Manager 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Hotel Manager to oversee our hotel operations. In this position, you will direct the day-to-day operations and activities at our boutique bed and breakfast. Your duties will include managing personnel, collecting payments, monitoring budgets, and evaluating hotel performance.

To excel in this role, you must be approachable and detailed-oriented with proven hospitality or management work experience. Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Hotel/ Restaurant Management or Business Administration is a plus. Equivalent experience is acceptable.

2-5 years as General Manager or other hotel management's role.

Basic Requirements:

- Outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with great attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of hotel management best practices and data entry software, inclusive of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Must be able to efficiently utilize our reservation platform Resnexus (training available)
- Must be able to review and respond to emails in a proficient and timely manner
- Valid Driver’s License
- California Food Handler’s Card

Job Duties:

- Oversee personnel including housekeeping staff and Assistant Inn Manager, while establishing a friendly, courteous, service-oriented environment through leadership
example.
- Monitor employee performance and conduct regular evaluations to help improve customer service.
- Collect payments and maintain records of budgets, funds, and expenses.
- Welcome and register guests once they arrive.
- Resolve issues regarding hotel services, amenities, and policies.
- Coordinate with external parties including suppliers, travel agencies, and conference planners.
- Evaluate hotel performance and ensure compliance with health and safety rules
- Regular personal inspection of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, meeting rooms.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, efficiently, and effectively with co-workers, management, and customers.
- Hire, schedule, and manage housekeeping staff
- Schedule and manage Assistant Inn Manager
- Exhibit a professional demeanor towards guests and potential guests.
- Provide exceptional customer service that is “above and beyond”.
Must be successful in converting guests into wine club members
- Calculate and remit occupancy tax reports to bookkeeper for processing
- Handle complaints and make sure they’re dealt with in a timely and professional manner
- Submit monthly reports to owner and GM. Gross revenue vs. expected, budget reports, and wine club signups amongst other pertinent financial reports.
- Inventory and order supplies for each room such as soaps, lotions, shampoo etc..
- Work directly with executive chef, events team, and food service staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Work hand in hand with events team to facilitate the success of our farm experience program, which is provided to guests as an optional add-on to their stay. This will require communication of farm experience reservations to farm experience “tour guides” as well as events team for staffing requirements.

Compensation:

$55,000+ Dependent upon experience

Prep Cook

A dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook for our bustling café who can fold into line duties; someone that is passionate about food, has a “can do” attitude and enjoys working with people. A friendly and positive demeanor is a must!

Our team works well as a collaborative unit and our ideal candidate is, likewise, team-focused and team-oriented! You must be willing to “pull their weight” with all duties.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications

- Prepare appropriate amounts of all hot menu item plates

- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of food products served

- Consistently understand and comply with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures

- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period

- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment

- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty

Qualifications:

- Must be 18+ years of age

- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel at all times

- Ability to be a strong team player and get along well with co-workers

- Be physically able to lift, reach, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle, feel or cut with a knife and lift up to 40 pounds regularly

- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

- Must be available to work weekends

EVENTS AND CATERING SERVER

Looking for individuals who have high energy paired with great customer service to work part time in our Events and Catering Department.

Job includes setup/breakdown, serving, and bartending for weddings & private events. This is a good position for someone looking for extra work and wants to get involved in the wine and hospitality industry. There is room for growth for the right person.

We are a boutique winery and vineyard located on the east side of Paso Robles. Our tasting room also includes a cafe which offers a full menu of food and wine pairings daily 11am-5pm. We also have an Event and Catering Department which caters to a variety of occasions. Our winery is family owned and operated and growing fast. We’re looking for individuals with a strong background in service and hospitality with focus on exceeding customer expectations.
