2015 Rockin' Ted
91 Points - Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Gold Medal - 2018 Central Coast Wine Competition
An original, hand-crafted blend featuring select barrels of Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah and Petite Sirah. Rockin' Ted broadcasts invigorating aromas of cassis liquor, sweet tobacco, blueberry crumble and dried violet. The palate seamlessly integrates dark fruit and savory spice, alongside polished tannin and mouth-watering acidity. Campfire smoke, crushed clove and toasted hazelnut crunch complete the long and pure finish.
Picked throughout September and October, the grapes were fermented into five-ton open top fermenters and pumped over multiple times per day to achieve maximum extraction. Aged for 28 months in vintage new French oak and American oak. During the last 16 months of barrel aging, the blending components were aged together in oak. During the first 12 months they were aged separately by variety.
