Central Coast Winery of the Year 2015

Tasting Notes
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 5% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot.  Blended and named by the winning team at the Bordeaux wine club blending party!
Inspired by the infamous blends of Bordeaux’s Left Bank. The nose displays aromas of cooked blackberry, crème de cassis, dried herbs and a hint of green bell pepper. Nuances of stewed tomatoes, ripe raspberry, sweet tobacco and dusted violet weave delicately throughout the bright, complex palate. The lingering finish is laced by silky tannins and essence of fresh oregano, creamy milk chocolate and steeped black tea.

Vineyard Notes

Vineyard Notes
The Cass Estate Vineyard, located southeast of the town of Paso Robles, exemplifies the quality of the Paso Robles region with its warm days, cool coastal breezes, and exceptional soils. Resting at 900 feet of elevation, the 160-acre vineyard is planted to 11 varieties on a large terrace above the Huer Huero River. Deposited over centuries, the diverse alluvial soils make for an expressive site that produces fruit of incredible quality.
