90 Points - 2010 Roussanne

Light, bright gold. Peach and melon on the nose, with hints of lemon zest and white flowers; smells a lot like viognier. Fleshy, appealingly juicy pit fruit flavors gain sweetness with air, picking up notes of poached pear and floral honey. A fruity, seductive rendition of this variety that finishes with very good energy and cut. This would be great with southeast Asian dishes.

90+ Points - 2008 Reserve

(70% cabernet sauvignon, 15% cabernet franc, 10% merlot, 3% malbec and 2% petit verdot): Inky ruby. Brooding, pungent aromas of cherry pit, cassis and licorice, with smoke and espresso accents. Deeply pitched dark fruit flavors show surprising vivacity and pick up spiciness with air. Chewy tannins build on the very long, smoky, licorice-accented finish. This is still a baby.

91 Points - 2010 Rockin' One Blanc

(52% Viognier/ 28% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne): Bright gold.  Sharply focused, lees-accented tangerine, peach and floral aromas are complicated by dusty minerals and herbs.  Vibrant citurs and pit fruit flavor show impressive depth and breadth, picking up melon and spice nuances on the zesty, persistent finish.  This wine will be extremely flexible at the table.

90 points - 2009 Rockin' One Blanc

Richness and opulence characterize this white Rhône blend of Roussanne and Marsanne, which is easily Cass’s best ever. It’s delicous in vanilla cream-accented Mandarin orange and honey flavors, with a tang of minerality. The alcohol is high, yet the wine maintains exquisite balance and poise. - Steve Heimoff

Inky purple. Exotic aromas of singed plum, blueberry and potpourri; hints at an almost syrupy ripeness. Lush, sweet and deep, with juicy acidity providing very good freshness to the densely packed dark fruit compote flavors. Finishes long and gently tannic, with a touch of smoky Indian spices. Seductively sweet, round and ready to drink. -Josh Raynolds

92 points - 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon

Very nice. Classic Paso Cabernet, smooth and dry, with complex blackberry, black currant, dark chocolate, herb and cedar flavors. The tannins are firm, but refined, and the finish is long and spicy. Elegant and sophisticated. -Steve Heimoff

90 points - 2008 Rockin' One Blanc

Green-tinged yellow. Exotically perfumed bouquet of oak-spiced orchard and pit fruits, with notes of dried flowers and smoked meat. Rich but with surprising energy, offering potent pear and yellow plum flavors that are brightened by a note of lemon zest. Finishes focused, alluringly sweet and very long. This wine should be flexible at the table. -Josh Raynolds

90 points - 2006 Rockin' One Red

Deep ruby. Potent cherry and blackcurrant aromas are complemented by dark chocolate, fruitcake and vanilla. Lush and creamy, offering deep red and dark berry preserve flavors and a velvety texture, with no obvious tannins. A big wine for sure, but also shockingly fresh and nicely balanced. Finishes with impressive sappy persistence and a strong echo of dark berries and vanilla. -Josh Raynolds

90 points - 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon

Cass has been focusing on Bordeaux reds in Paso Robles; their Cab Franc has been very good, and this Cabernet Sauvignon is better. It shows its warm origins in very ripe fruit flavors of blackberries, currants and chocolate, but the structure is enlivened with fine acidity and rich, dusty tannins. Delicious and dry, it shows an elegance that makes it irresistible. -Steve Heimoff

90 points - 2005 Rockin' One Red

Deep red. Impressively complex bouquet evokes red and dark berries, musky herbs and flowers and tobacco. Smells remarkably like a southern Rhone wine, and tastes like one, too. Supple raspberry and boysenberry flavors are nicely filled in and offer good depth and grip. Finishes sweet, with very good persistence and an echo of ripe dark berries. -Josh Raynolds

90 points - 2005 Syrah

Saturated ruby color. Exotically perfumed aromas of cherry-cola, Asian spices and vanilla; the oak is pretty strong but so is the fruit. Broad, sweet raspberry and candied cherry flavors are firmed by fine-grained tannins, which seem to soften with air. Pliant, seductive and intriguingly pinot-like, with excellent finishing lift and clarity. This is delicious right now. -Josh Raynolds
