Customers Speak Out

Erin,

It was a magical evening!! Incredible!  The menu was superb.  Chef Brandon and team did a terrific job.  Michael MacGuire turned out to be a great choice for the music.  The wine was as good as always. Ted and Lisa were perfect hosts. Just wish you could have been there to enjoy all your hard work, too.  The weather was great for sitting out doors and we had a hard time getting everyone to leave because they were having such a great time.  The shuttle service was the right idea.

We carried on the next day with 14 of us tasting on the trolley to 4 wineries.  Ted said that a lot of people purchased wine Saturday evening, so that is good, too.

I will send you some photos when I get them downlaoded.

Thanks for all your assistance. Charlie was very surprised, as was I when I saw our daughter. She really pulled a big one on us!!!!

Please extend our thanks for the entire Cass staff and family.

Erin,

Thank you so much for the great star party.   We really had a good time, and would like to sign up for the blending party as well.

You make great wine and throw fabulous parties.   I think I joined the best wine club in the county.

Thanks,

Emily Rosten

Dear Erin,

My name is Jodie Rounds. I am a club member and also industry. I apologize for not remembering if it was you or another great employee of Cass Winery that served us. I just wanted to thank you, Chef Brandon, and anyone else involved, for the exceptional afternoon the other day. You made our group of 8 women (for a 60Th birthday celebration) sensational. The food was fabulous and the service spectacular. The birthday girl was moved by the afternoons setting and your generosity and sharing champagne with us.

I look forward to bringing out more family and friends to this wonderful friendly environment. You really know how to make your members feel special.

Thank you again,

Jodie Rounds

Hey Ted,

Thank you for a special time on Saturday. We rolled up in 2 limo's as friends of Joe Farley's and left as great friends of  you and the whole crew at Cass.

You putting on a rockin' show of wine, food an entertainment.  The ladies loved the special treatment, and we all had so much fun.

Thanks for taking the time to spend the afternoon with us. The wine is awesome, as we cracked a few bottles at dinner Saturday night.

Know that we will be back again in the near future, and will be sure to stop in at Cass.

Best Regards,

Suject: Grenache

Dave

I finally had a chance to get to my computer at home and e-mail.

I have to say I am blown away by the Cass Wines!  We had the Grenache the other night with a beautiful italian meal and the wine was the BEST!!! My wife and I could not believe the taste. We love wine but have never had one taste this full with its slight subtle smoky fruit tones. I know I am not the best at describing wine but we were stunned. We will now be buying more of their wines.

I can't thank you and Lisa enough, we really appreciate it. I have a new favorite wine and I can't thank you enough for sending these amazing bottles.THANK YOU

Jeremy

Subject: Thank you

Steve-

My wife Siri and I had the opportunity to visit with you Friday afternoon prior to your dinner at the winery. I wanted to drop you a note thanking you for your hospitality and time you spent with us. Among our favorite aspects of visiting wineries are the people who we meet and the stories that go along with them. I think the wine takes on a certain personality as you can reflect on the story that brings the wine to life. Your kind introduction to Lood and the tour of the winery that we received at your request was also very generous. That afternoon ranks near the top of our wine experiences to date.

Thank you again for a phenomenal afternoon and we both look forward to continuing our conversation on subsequent trips.

Cheers!

Subject: Steve's Emails

Dear Steve,

Dear Steve, You have the best newsletter, I just love the wine info. I love being a member of your wine club and I love bringing out of town guest there for a bite to eat. Your staff is fabulous and everyone loves the atmosphere. I have belonged to a few wine clubs in Paso but have canceled them all and I'm sticking with you. Thanks for the great experiences. I don't get to do many of the activities because I tend to my 92 year old mother with dementia but the ones that I do go to are first rate.

Subject: Valentine's Day Dinner

Steve,

When were were at your WONDERFUL Valentine's Dinner, (you) mentioned that he was going to have a giant pumpkin growing contest and that he'd give anyone interested in participating some seeds. We would like to participate.  I'm not sure when they should be planted... guess I had better study up on the internet!  Anyway, we can stop by if you want or you can send them by mail.  Just let us know.

By the way, I do want to gush on about that dinner.  It was absolutely perfect.  We enjoyed the champagne with the essence of rose.  The appetizers, the dinner, dessert and the pairings were just perfect.  The ambiance and the people we met were all very enjoyable, too.  We could not have asked for a nicer experience.

Thank you,

Subject: Enjoyed Cass Winery

Mr. & Mrs. Cass

We received your newsletter and have forwarded it on to many of our friends and family.... it's been quite the subject of conversations.

We enjoyed our visit to your winery so much and it was the most delightful story to carry on with us about our wedding events, sharing the name, the grand-opening being Marty's Birthday.... there were just so many wonderful coincidences that bond us to Cass wines, which we enjoyed the wines, food and experience too!

I've attached a wedding photo for your scrap book, and we will be back before our anniversary 5/27/06......but we definitely plan to celebrate that date with a bottle of Cass Wine and a trip to Cass Winery!

I'm sorry I don't remember everyone's name but it was such a warm and welcome staff of people, we left with a wonderful feeling and have talked much about the experience as we share our wedding experience with loved ones. Thanks for being a part of this very special occasion for us!

Looking forward to a visit again soon!

Subject: Great place!

I just wanted to send a "THANK YOU" to your tasting room staff. Last weekend I had 2 friends from college (the 3 of us are those types of friends who never seem to grow distant -- but we hadn't all 3 been together since 1996) visit and we did a whirlwind "wine tour". The staff at Clautiere recommended we visit your tasting room, and we are SO happy we did! Your staff was attentive and courteous. We enjoyed every minute at your winery! Thank you so much for being part of a wonderful reunion weekend.

Thanks again,

Sandy

Subject: Thank you for such a day!

Dear Steve, & Cass Staff,

We cannot thank you enough for the amazing day we shared exploring the wineries with you in that amazing car! With Jesse so far away, we only get a few days a year to hang out with her. So, we try to make those short visits memorable and certainly you did that for us. We truly enjoyed getting to know you better, as well as the staff at the winery. We had a blast with the barrel tasting and the crab cakes were soooo good!

We love your wines (in fact we enjoyed a bottle of Tango last night with dinner), we were glad to taste with Falcon Nest (a nice new find). We always enjoy Bruce and the Hanson wines, and Clautier is such a blast.

Again, our sincere thanks for taking the better part of your day to make our time with Jess such fun. We only wished we lived closer so we could visit more often. Trust that you will see us again. Keep making your great wines!

In gratitude,

Charlie and Mary Ridgecrest, CA

Subject: Hello from Chicago

Thank you so much for your hospitality during our late August stay in Paso. Your team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to make our anniversary one to remember. I'm trying to talk Joan into watching The Return of the Pink Panther every anniversary.

Each bottle of Cass that we have opened and shared has been as good or better than what we remember the day we first tasted them. We were pleasantly surprised to receive our first wine club shipment today, couldn't have come at a better time.

Good news, Joan and I found a place in Los Angeles and will be moving in two weeks. This means weekend getaways are very much a possibility. The upcoming fall events sound like too much fun to be missed!!!

Subject: Erin du Fresne

Dear Mr. Cass:

I'm writing in praise of one of your employees, Erin du Fresne, whom we encountered last week on a visit to your winery.

From our first contact with Erin, we knew we liked her and that she was extraordinarily knowledgeable about both your business and the art of winemaking. It became evident that she had assessed our level of sophistication, framing her comments accordingly and without condescension. Perhaps more importantly, she connected with us personally, asking and responding to questions about our respective lives (hers being infinitely more interesting than ours).

During our several days in your vicinity, we visited many (perhaps too many) of your friendly competitors. Not surprisingly, our experience with Erin was never replicated.

I suspect you know that in Erin you have a valuable, singular employee interfacing with the public. With this brief note, I simply wanted to underscore that fact.
