Hi Lindsay! It was great to meet you! The girls all had a wonderful time and I wanted you to know. They couldn't stop talking about the food, wine, service and all around great feeling of the winery. Having food was the hitting point.
I am sitting here drinking a glass of Rockin' One Red and relaxing after work.
I only knew one of the ladies, but was able to make 12 new friends!

You cant go wrong! The pull pork sandwitch and steak sandwitch each with salad with a cranberry dressing, including a regular serving of wine by far is the best lunch in town! Service was polite, helpful and efficient. Will stop in every time we are in town.

We had the BEST afternoon here at Cass Winery. The weather was delightful so we ate outside in late December! The food was amazing. I had a hot braised pork sandwich ... well I'm from Missouri and we know pork ... it was outstanding. My wife said her chicken salad was best she ever had. Their chef is darn good. Period. But the highlight was a pre-meal flight of six locally crafted cheeses (some by their on staff cheese maker!) with wine pairings for all the cheeses. OMG! All I need say is - Go here. Owners Ted and Lisa Plemons were engaging, knowledgeable, and passionate hosts and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. The wines were superb! across the range. It's a nice winery, but also a working winery so not as polished as the brand name Napa wineries, but the atmosphere was fun, casual and authentic. Guys make sure you stop by the restroom - very creative decor (can't say if same is true for the ladies...). Cass is a bit off the beaten path but like the best wineries worth every extra mile. We'll be back. My advice - Go here!

A friend and I visited your tasting room yesterday, and we we just wanted to tell you what a wonderful experience we had! We can't remember the name of the young lady who was helping us with out cheese and wine pairing, but she did a fantastic job at explaining all the cheeses and wines, and she was very gracious and welcoming. You should give that girl a raise! :) She is one of the reasons we will definitely be coming back! Thanks again!

We just want you to know that we opened a 2007 Viognier this afternoon. We were afraid that we might have waited too long to enjoy it but we both agree that it was BY FAR the BEST Viognier that we have EVER had! We have enjoyed many Viognier but this one was the most complex, crisp with a finish that lingered on and on. We often wish that all tasting notes came with a "projected" window of "drinkability" but we are glad that this one slipped by until today! GREAT job and this is why we remain club members!

The food was excellent and the service was even better. We've been to many wineries but this one is very unique in that they have a restaurant on the grounds. This is the first time that we're dining on a table and the servers bring different wines for us to try. It was a wonderful experience and am looking forward to doing it again.

We actually went to Cass because of the Paso Robles Harvest Wine weekend and had a wonderful experience there of lunch and wine tasting. Their wines are excellent and they served a delicious lunch outside in a beautiful California setting. We are seriously considering joining their wine club and will return to the winery again next year.

The winery was a little off of the beaten path but worth the effort. The offered outside seating that was covered from the midday sun. The patio was great as it felt more like a restaurant with the staff bringing out tastings at pretty regular intervals. We decided to order a meat & cheese board that was paired with their wines. It was a great experience. If you are in the area, seeks this place out. It is worth the journey.

I was at Cass for wine tasting, of course. The 2009 Mouvedre and the 2008 Grenache are the bottles to buy, although the white wine (forgetting the name) was also very good.

We really went to taste the wines. There was not one we did not really like. We immediately signed up for their wine club. The owner greeted us and let us taste some special wines. Great wine, special people. Can't wait to go back. Unfortunately, we live in OR.

Hi, Steve:
This was our first time at a Cass event, since we only joined the wine club to attend last weekend's dinner and blending seminar. We first experienced Cass on a tour with the Wine Vault and Bistro in San Diego last year. It was one of the stops we remembered fondly. Yes, we drove from Porterville to San Diego (6 hours) so we could catch a bus up to Paso Robles (less than 3 hours west of our home). But, what a bus ride it was!
Anyway, we really enjoyed ourselves. We enjoyed the dinner, we enjoyed the wines both days and we really enjoyed our new friends. I'm sorry to see that we'll miss the August event and we'd have loved to volunteer for the Harvest Festival, but we can't...
I really hope we can put that trip together, because Paso is my new favorite AVA. I'm a huge fan of syrah and shiraz and I think the west side does syrah with a New World flair better than any Barossa Valley shiraz winery or anyone else in California making either syrah or shiraz, depending on their mood. My brother-in-law is a real fan of Bordeaux wines, especially Margaux's, and some of the Napa "big cabs." I'd like to show him a few "big syrahs" from Paso. He might expand his horizons.
Anyway, thanks again for a great experience. We hope we can visit again soon.

After a perfect morning of wine-tasting, we stopped at Cass for more wine and lunch on the sunny patio. I had the pulled pork tri tip sandwich, it was flavorful and tender. The ciabatta bread went very well with it. The green salad was fresh and delicious. If you want a wonderfully casual lunch with fresh ingredients and a great atmosphere, come here!

We were at Cass Winery for a custom dinner for our winemakers group. The food and the service was incredible. There were 53 of us and the food was varied and every bit of it was served at the correct temperature. The owner gave us lots of information on his wines and let us taste some library selections. His wife played the piano for us and the mood was great. Cannot wait to go back for lunch one of these days!

Visiting this winery was a great experience. I did the ten-dollar wine tasting, and a very well-informed sommelier took us through several wines, starting with a viognier and ending with a cab. If you also eat lunch there, which we did, there's no charge for the wine tasting!! I can't recommend this winery highly enough!!

Cass was recommended by some local winery people. They were definitely on target. The dining is in the middle between the wine tasting area and the kitchen. Informal and friendly. The staff were very accomodating in splitting sandwiches and matching wines to the food order. The signature salad was inventive,fresh, and plentiful. The sandwiches showed that time and attention to detail were part of the preparation. The breads were artisan and the meats flavorful and slow cooked.

Hi Bryan,
We met at the Windy City Wine festival in Chicago last summer. I ordered Viognier and Grenache. I wanted to tell you the Grenache was the perfect match for Christmas dinner! It paired nicely with everything on the plate from turkey, cornbread dressing, ham, veggies to mac & cheese.
I've chose pinot noirs in the past, but I think Cass Grenache will be the choice from now on.
I hope to sip your wines again this summer.

I didn't realize that Cass Winery was participating in the e-scrip program. How nice is that?? I have visited Cass Winery on at least three other visits to that area. Absolutely love their crab cakes....best I have ever had; and after having devoured them we decided to stay for their seven-course tasting dinner paired with wines. We were a party of four and the couple we were with had never been to Cass before....they definitely will return, and so will my friend and I. Love Cass Winery. Not only love their wines....but the people too. Steve, Alice and Ted make us feel like family!! Ted took us in the barrell room to taste some great wines....Had a wonderful experience!!!

What an incredible experience! We were the only patrons in the place (which was perfect). The environment was relaxed and inviting. Nothing better than enjoying easy Jazz/blues/rock, sitting in the most picturesque place in the central coast, enjoying great food and wine. We will definitely be back.

We saw the sign for Cass Winery and decided to stop and check it out. We were glad we did. We didn't know they served food. We had stopped to do some tasting but decided to have lunch with the wine tasting. The tasting is free with lunch. Otherwise it's $10 per person. Cass wines are very good. We particularly liked the Viognier, the Rose, and they Syrah. The lunch was very good and reasonable priced. A very pleasant experience. I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful time wine tasting Saturday afternoon. The barrel tasting was the icing on the cake. It reminded us all of the old Paso wine tasting. Everyone was very friendly and personable. You had mentioned at the time of barrel tasting that you had volunteers come in for wine bottling. I would love the opportunity to volunteer if you should need the extra help. Just let me know when!

My husband and I visited Cass Winery last week, and had a wonderful experience on our visit.
Adam was our host, and was very friendly and informative.
We read on the menu at the table when we arrived about the cheese pairing, and were delighted that Cass had established it’s own creamery and was making some of the cheese being served. This enticed us to try the cheeses along with your wine.
We enjoyed this wonderful wine and cheese tasting (along with the Salami Salchichon plate) while sitting outside on a lovely afternoon. Adam came outside each time to provide us some information about each new wine being poured. It was so relaxing and nicely presented. Before we left, we purchased 4 of the 6 cheeses that we enjoyed with the pairing, and received a copy of the menu.
We are veteran wine country visitors (but this was our first visit to Paso Robles, as well as Cass), and have never visited a winery such as yours, that provides a cheese pairing with each wine tasting – what a fabulous tasting experience it was!
We just wanted to write and thank you for such a great experience. We would like to continue to keep in touch with Cass – I plan on signing up to receive the E-letters on your website.

Words cannot adequately express how grateful we are for Cass Catering's absolutely outstanding catering services at our recent wedding at Thacher Winery. Erin, it was so wonderful to have you in charge; you are a consummate professional and so responsible and responsive. Even though we gave you only weeks to prepare, you constantly kept us up to date, and worked perfectly with Michelle from Thacher. I can't thank Michelle enough for recommending you. She felt it was essential to have a caterer that knew what they were doing. She was right to have us retain Cass Catering, and you exceeded our expectations.
Our reception and dinner was beautiful, impeccable and flawless. The food was exquisite. Jacob, I wish we had been able to spend more time thanking your for you culinary talent and artistry. Although we did not dine at Cass, their wine tasting set up was excellent. Viewing the barrel room with tasting from the barrel was a fun experience. We greatly appreciated Ted Plemons presentations and expertise. Everyone made us feel very welcome. The entire facility was first class, and we would highly recommend it to everyone. Their wines are delicious.

We had a GREAT, FUN time tonight. We got to see Saturn with her rings........WOW!! We were so sorry to have left so early but Dave had a long day building fences and trying to contain our 2 yr old stud colt, "Lagniappe Apollo" (pictures attached) who had just gone through 3 paddocks of hot wire fence, like it was butter.
We LOVE Cass Winery and Vineyard and all of you guys. We look forward to next years Astronomy Star Gazing so we can spend more time.

My wife and I were up in the Paso Robles area for wine tasting over her birthday weekend from 6/18-6/21. We were with a couple friends of ours and hit you guys at the end of the day. You all couldn’t have been more gracious and your knowledge and enthusiasm for your product was infectious. Not only did we all buy a lot of wine, but my wife and I joined your wine club, the only one we belong to. I have to tell you how much we enjoyed the quality of your wines, even varietals I’m not traditionally that fond of. We have raved about you folks to our friends and some wine retailers in the South Bay area of LA where we live.
Although we hit 10-12 wineries in two days, I still come back to our experience at your winery and the quality of the wines themselves. I thank you for the experience and opening my eyes to Cass and wanted you to know that you have a new loyal customer.

We went for the wine but the food was FANTASTIC! Everything we had was wonderful. The wine was very good but the food was spectacular. When you are out wine tasting there is nothing else around and this was a VERY pleasand surprise. We will surely be back and recommend it to our friends.

The wine club pick-up-party was a really fun evening! Besides sampling the new vintages, there were excellent appetizers and the Mexican themed dinner was very tasty! It was a low-key but highly enjoyable experience including the jazz trio. We'll definitly go again!

Mr. Cass,
I hope all is well. I just wanted to drop you a line-- my wife and I recently visited the winery on my birthday earlier this week (it was our second time, having previously swung by on our honeymoon the year before). Just like the first trip, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cass. The food, wine, and companionship was superb. I will definitely be joining the wine club come May when I graduate from law school (and actually begin making money!). I was excited to see that you are all planning a B&B! Next year (August '09 - July '09) I am going to be clerking for a federal judge in Pasadena. My wife and I are both planning that at some point we will be able to swing up and enjoy the Cass experience for a nice break. Anyways, just wanted to say thanks- you guys have a great thing going on down there-- it really is its own experience. All the best.

Everyone loved the Branigan Turkey. There was a 1/2 inch of juice in each of the wing pockets and was the most white meat on a turkey that anyone had ever seen. I love the dark meat which was the least I have had ever seen and eaten. Oh well. Y'all made my daughter's birthday a very special evening. She and her husband thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
The spot you gave us to park our RV was beautiful, I was considering not leaving and filing for squater's rights.
Now we come to Ted, what can we say about Ted. Well I don't know if my wife has forgiven him for all the wine he poured down her, but she was talking about the Wine Festival, so maybe her heart is softening.

Steve, Ted, Erin and all the servers. Last night was absolutely the most fun we have had in a long time. Food was GREAT and of course it is hard to find the right adjectives for the wines! It was the first open event at Cass we had attended, but it won't be the last! Neither of the other two couples that were with us had ever had a meal at a winery and were they ever impressed! Thank you all for making last night such a memorable occasion!

husband and I visited your winery in August 2008. We bought a bottle of the
2005 Cabernet Sauvignon and shared it with our dear friends on New Year's
Eve. Now, none of us are wine experts but we absolutely loved the wine. I
was hoping it would be as good as I remembered while tasting it in August
and Bryan, it surpassed my memories. It was so funny - after we had
finished the wine, our friend George had a glass of his "everyday" wine and
made the most awful face!! He said he couldn't believe how much vinegar
there was in the "everyday" wine!!! I wish we didn't live so far away. Our
visit to your winery was so much fun and everyone was so nice to us. My
husband and I were the only ones there that day so your staff really spoiled

It was a magical evening!! Incredible! The menu was superb. Chef Brandon and team did a terrific job. Michael MacGuire turned out to be a great choice for the music. The wine was as good as always. Ted and Lisa were perfect hosts. Just wish you could have been there to enjoy all your hard work, too. The weather was great for sitting out doors and we had a hard time getting everyone to leave because they were having such a great time. The shuttle service was the right idea.
We carried on the next day with 14 of us tasting on the trolley to 4 wineries. Ted said that a lot of people purchased wine Saturday evening, so that is good, too.
I will send you some photos when I get them downlaoded.
Thanks for all your assistance. Charlie was very surprised, as was I when I saw our daughter. She really pulled a big one on us!!!!

I finally had a chance to get to my computer at home and e-mail.
I have to say I am blown away by the Cass Wines! We had the Grenache the other night with a beautiful italian meal and the wine was the BEST!!! My wife and I could not believe the taste. We love wine but have never had one taste this full with its slight subtle smoky fruit tones. I know I am not the best at describing wine but we were stunned. We will now be buying more of their wines.
